She is the great ruler,

She is considered as the controller and maintainer of the universe.

Again this nama also starts with Sri. Maharajni means the queen of queens, the supreme ruler. Most of the namas of this sahasranamam contain powerful bijaksharas. It is difficult to segregate these bijas from the nama. Bijas or bijakasharas are either single Sanskrit alphabet or the combination of alphabets making it as a compound alphabet. Each of these bijas are considered as highly secretive in nature and are very powerful that can bestow powers on a person who regularly chants these bijas duly understanding its meaning.

rAjan + Ajni = RAjni

maHa is AnmanhaTa  

and Srim Bijakshara has been denoted as Sri – The Feminine Character with Supreme Power

Hence, Sree MaHaRajnI

The three letters of Srividya are contained in this name . One of them is Sodasi (Srim) and the remaining two letters,i.e., a and ha are called Prakasa (Illumination) and Vimarsa (reflection) respectively. Rajni, the part of Maharajni contains the mantra Mayarajni. 

Sodasi Mantra – Ka ae e la hrim, Ha Sa Ka La Hrim, Sa Ka La Hrim (Pancha-dasakshari) Srim (Sodasi)

When we learn from the guru then we understand the reality and prakasa is nothing but,

and vimarsha means  

AkAraH sarVarNagraYaH prakAshaH paramsHivaH !

haKaryhYoH  kaLarUpO vimaRsAKhYaH prakHirThaH

Prakasa and Vimarsa go hand in hand, one cannot reflect unless there is illumination. She is the giver of illumination

Also Tamopaha: She is the destroyer of darkness in the form of nescience. Thus she is a LAMP in the darkness – Ajnanadvantadipika.

Generally, after remembering the sreeguru, we generally do praises to eulogise the powers and the greatness of the guru. The power and the greatness and every thing of the guru is laid in his mantra sakthi only. Sakthi means, one which serves him with adoration and obedience like a wife. That is why the wife is also called with this term as sakthi. This mantra sakthi always remains with the guru and serves him like a mother, a sister and as a wife. (Maatrivat, bhaginivat, bhaaryaavat). She provides all the comforts to him of this world and also at the latter destination. (Bhoga mokshakaree vidya).

Generally, that mantra sakthi should be the shodasaakshari vidya only, because this vidya is considered to be the minimal qualification to attain the status of a guru and to initiate any mantra to others.

If we separate the alphabets in this name Sreemaharaajni, it reads like sreem+aha+rajni. When Sreem is added to the Panchadasaakshari vidya, it becomes the shodasaakshari. Shodasaakshari is said to be the extention of Panchadasee vidya.

Further specific rules are prescribed for its pronunciation. There is one specific mantra, which is considered as the supreme of all the mantras in the worship of devi. This is called Shodasi. Shodasi means 16 kalas or letters. Kala means the sixteen days of waxing or waning moon i.e. full moon to new moon or new moon to full moon. There is one more mantra called panchadasi consisting of 15 letters. If you add the sixteenth letter to panchadasi, it is called Shodasi. If one chants the shodasi mantra for the prescribed number of times, he or she will have no more births. This sixteenth bija of shodasi is hidden in this nama. Normally, this should be learnt only from a Guru. The sixteenth bija consists of the first four letters of this nama s+r+i+m =Srim. The Srim is called Lakshmi bija. The first nama talks about her creative power and the second nama talks about her power of sustenance. As a mother she creates and as the supreme queen she administers the universe.

In the yoga saastra there are three types of praanaayaama methods, one is Atisthoola praanaayaama – which is started with the Baala mantra by observing the praana sakthi ( breath ), dragging from the naval region upwards to the Chandra mandala, ie., the margin of the hair roots. Some time after,the Panchadasaakshari is initiated, the praana sakthi is dragged from the moolaadhaara padma right upto the Unmani in the brahmarandhra bindu charka. This kind of breath expantion is called ‘Sthuula praanaayaama’. But when Shodasaakshari is initiated, the breath is being dragged from the lowest tip of the toe, right up to the maha bindu, which is situated two fingers above the brahmarandhra bindu charka, where the aura of the person ending its radiation.

The above said Aura is nothing but the Visarga, which emenated from the bindu charka and formed as thureeya kamakala, This Kaama kala is the target of aspirations of all the sages and rishis of all times, to make it perceptibly visualize. The shadow image of these three dots (bindu and viarga), forming as a triangle ( “Mukham bindum kritwa kuchayuga madhasthasya thadadho haraardham dhyaayedyo haramahishi thei manmadhakalaam”) is the gateway from where the whole universe is emerged out and we all should pass through to reach our real abode.

The two letters following the sreem are ‘a’ and ‘ha’, representing to all the alphabets and also to the whole vocabulary. All of this vocabulary is arising from the Meru, ie., “La Sa Ha Ee Eei Ra Ka” which is appearing out as panchadasaakshari vidya and after prolonged practices reformed as the Shodasaakshari.

For all this process the holy mother Mahaaraajni (raajayati ranjayathi iti raajni) should shower mercy upon us by brightening and illuminating the manthra swaroopa as it is.

Those who have such pre-ordained destiny, come to meet the True Inner Guru.

After all their reading, the Pandits, the religious scholars, and the astrologers argue and debate.
Their intellect and understanding are perverted; They just don’t understand.
They are filled with greed and corruption.
Through 8.4 million incarnations they wander, lost and confused;
Through all their wandering and roaming, they are ruined.
They act according to their pre-ordained destiny, which no one can erase.
It is very difficult to serve the True Inner Guru.
Surrender your head; give up your selfishness.
Realizing the Shabad, one meets with the Lord, and all one’s service is accepted.
By personally experiencing the Personality of the Inner Guru,
One’s own personality is uplifted, and one’s light merges into the Light. Those who have such pre-ordained destiny, come to meet the True Inner Guru.
O mind, don’t cry out that you are hungry, always hungry; stop complaining.
The One who created the 8.4 million species of beings, gives sustenance to all.
The Fearless Lord is forever Merciful; She takes care of all.
Those who hear and believe, find the home of the self deep within.
Through the Inner Guru’s Teachings, they praise the True Lord;
They find the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.
