Sri Matre Namaha
Niṣparigrahā- The One Hundred & Eighty Third name in Lalitha Sahasranamam.
nirgatah parigraha yasyah sa
Who is not receiving anything
Parigraha means attendants, wife, acceptance and root. She is having none of these as She is self-reliant
She does not get anything in return for the actions She perform. This is in confirmation of our interpretation of our earlier nama. This nama says that She performs actions (creation, sustenance and dissolution). The point driven home in the previous nama is that She does not get involved in Her actions. When She is without actions (even any one of the actions), the universe cease to exist. For doing such actions, She does not get anything in return. The correct interpretation would be that She does not expect Her devotees to perform ritual worship by offering flowers, food, etc thinking that they are expressing their gratitude to Her. This nama reiterates that ritual worship, at the most could only be a stepping stone towards self-realization. If you are stranded here, it is obvious that you cannot reach Her.
